Since the filing of divorce in September, neither Angelina Jolie nor Brad Pitt formally address their current situation to the media and the public.
This time, at the red carpet premiere of his romantic-thriller film, Allied, the actor finally broke his silence about the highly-publicized divorce. On the movie premiere, he was with actress Marion Cotillard, whom he was falsely accused of having a relationship when the news about the divorce first broke out.
The 52-year-old actor told E! News that he is thankful for the fans that are supporting him throughout the divorce.
"It's really sweet, everyone has been really kind out here. It's really nice to have all the support," he told the publication.
The Oscar-nominated actor's appearance on the red carpet premiere happened after the LA Department of Children and Family Services cleared him out of the physical and verbal abuse accusations. It can be remembered that the agency, together with the FBI, had investigated the actor regarding on an alleged abuse that happened on their private plane.
Their children and his ex-wife, Jolie, were also involved in the investigation to further help the agency to clear out matters that can help them. Just few days ago, the agency ruled that the claims were 'unfounded', according to a report from Mirror UK. It has been decided that the Allied actor did not physically nor verbally abuse their 15-year-old son Maddox Jolie-Pitt.
The result of the investigation also favored the actor for a possible joint physical and legal custody for their children. It can be recalled that when it was decided that Jolie will have temporary physical custody of their kids before, the actor had been feeling bad because of fewer times he can spend with his children.
The actor has filed legal documents just recently, even though Jolie is pushing sole custody.
