'The Blacklist' Season 4 Part 2: Alexander Kirk story is over; Red lying about being Liz's father?

NBC's crime thriller series, The Blacklist, had left many fans wondering after its eight episode aired on Thursday. Speculations have started appearing regarding the next events that can possibly happen on the premiere of the next episode.

Fanc can still recall that in Episode 8 of Season 4, businessman Alexander Kirk, portrayed by Ulrich Thomsen, was shown taking Megan Boone's character, Liz Keen, for his case to be someone who can likely save his life. James Spader's character, Raymod Reddington, popularly known as Red, had then opposed this and wanted Liz to live her life without any participation on Kirk's case.

He then presented himself in exchange for Liz's freedom that Kirk consequently agreed. In the middle of their turmoil, Kirk had come to ask if Red is Liz Keen's father, which he answered positively saying, "Yes, Elizabeth is my daughter."

But rumors have it that Red might be lying about being Liz's father. According to Ecumenical News, viewers are not really sure if Red is telling the truth because there has been no explanation yet about why Lotte Verbeek's character, Katarina Rostova, had not revealed who Liz's father was in the first place.

A report from Cartermatt also stated that Alexander Kirk's story is done with. However, from the complicated events on the previous episode, fans are also not sure about the future of the character. It can be recalled that Red had mentioned to Liz that Kirk is gone, but did not really went into detail on how 'gone' he is.

In another report, The Blacklist executive producer Jon Bokenkamp had confirmed that Alexander Kirk's story is over. However, he added that there is something that is coming up on the upcoming episode, which definitely involves the past. Fans are just gonna have to look forward for this.

Meanwhile,a spinoff for the series is in the workstitled The Blacklist: Redemption. Bokenkamp had reportedly confirmed this and als hinted about a possible crossover for The Blacklist and its spinoff series.

The premiere for the ninth episode of The Blacklist Season 4 is on January 5 next year and the spinoff is also due for airing next year.
