A fresh NBA trade rumor is swirling around between the Sacramento Kings and Boston Celtics nowadays. And it involves seldom used center Willie Cauley-Stein of the Kings and point guard Terry Rozier and shooting guard/forward James Young of the Celtics.
Cauley-Stein was drafted by the Kings with their sixth overall pick in 2015 NBA draft. And in his rookie year, he has shown his potential to become one of the superstars in the future.
He is an athletic player for his size with unbelievably odd speed and flexibility. He is known to be a great defender having to chase perimeter players and keep them guarded wherever they go.
But when the Kings decide to fire coach George Karl and hire new head coach Dave Joerger, Cauley-Stein was relegated to the second unit as a backup to DeMarcus Cousins and instead coach Joerger choose Kosta Koufos to be the starter for the team. With this development, NBA trade rumors are now spreading that the Kings might trade him after all.
According to Sportsrageous, the Sacramento Kings already exposed the plans of trading Willie Cauley-Stein and it looks like is heading to the Boston Celtics. Trade scenario is suggesting that the Kings will send Cauley-Stein to the Celtics in exchange for Terry Rozier and James Young.
The report also says that the trade pass the NBA trade rules and salary cap restriction as per checking to ESPN NBA Trade machine making it a legal deal for both teams. It could be a perfect timing for the Celtics if they'll able to acquire the services of Cauley-Stein as he will serve as Al Horford's substitute while he is recovering in his injury.
In a recent report by The Inquisitr, since the Kings are fully loaded with big men with Cousins, Koufos, Georgios Papagiannis and Skal Labissiere, it is best for them to move Cauley-Stein and take a more valuable player in return. And it seems that Rozier and Young would be a perfect fit to what the Kings needed.
Young just recently reveal his potential as a player during a game against the Indiana Pacer and this could give the Kings a hint on their future. While the Kings might also gain some value for Rozier and wait to develop his skills now that they also need an option for their backcourt problems.
Will the Sacramento Kings and Boston Celtics agree and make this NBA trade deal happen?
