SiSoft Sandra benchmark results were leaked online for one of AMD's upcoming Zen CPU architecture. The Naples is the company's given name for its upcoming SoC server platform. The results show the capability of this 64-core, 128-thread monster for the AMD Zen CPU.
The benchmarks results were first given by DresdenBoy at the NewCitaviaBlog. But after a few minutes they were immediately pulled off. However, its screenshot is still circulating on the internet, thanks to the vigilance of the DresdenBoy. The leaks contain the identifying code of the platform and the one that contained the entire string.
The upcoming CPU is chosen as the "4x AMD Eng Sample" which based in the "29/14" of its product string. It has a base clock of 1.44 GHz and a turbo clock of 2.9 GHz that can be deduced from the 29/14 suffix at the end of the identification tag.
This is also a dual socket result as denoted by the 2S piece of the name so that we are dealing with two 32 core processors. Each is having two 16 core dies on board. AMD's trademark logo-like build philosophy and Zen's unique MCM (Multi-Chip Module) capabilities are apparent in the results, reports Wccftech
The result showed a multi-media score of 643.37 Mpix/s and processor cryptography result of 0.17GB/s with a memory bandwidth of 0.31Gb/s. Its PCI bandwidth speed is 310 MB/s. The benchmark test revealed 4 dies with 64 cores, and 4 clusters of 8 MB shared as L3 and 16 clusters of 512 KB L2. The upcoming chip from AMD has a speed efficiency of 46.35kOPTS/GHz.
The Processor and Multi Media portion in the result demonstrates a 643.37 Mpix/s performance which is just within range. The processor financial analysis at double prevision is 667,500 OPTS.
Now the AMD is confident that their new Zen and other next-generation products will be a big competitor for Intel products that have dominated the market for quite a time.
