27-inch iMac 2017 flaunts 5K display with Intel 10-core Xeon E7 and AMD Polaris 10/11 graphic chip

People were expecting to see new iMac update during the Oct. 26 Apple "Hello Again" event but they were disappointed. The release of the upgraded Apple iMacs is long overdue but pundits extended their sights on a 2017 release date. Interestingly 2017 is also the iPhone's 10th anniversary year.

Reports say that the upcoming Apple iMac 2017 will be powered with the Intel Kaby Lake chipset. Though, it would be interesting to see whether the device from the Cupertino-based tech giant will be able to compete against Microsoft Surface which is the main rival of the iMac 2017.

The Apple iMac's last update was in 2015 when it gave the smaller iMacs with Retina displays and the Bigger models with the Skylake chips, now the fans are expecting trending specs and features from iMac 2017, according to AppleInsider.

The launch of Apple iMac 2017 is also said to be getting delayed because of the Kaby Lake processor. The MacBook Pro 2016 as an alternative received the Skylake chipset. Now the fans are hoping the iMac 2017 to get the latest Kaby Lake chipset when it releases.

Apart from the specs such as AMD Polaris 10/11 graphics chip and fingerprint scanner, the Apple iMac 2017 may surprise with the latest OLED Touch Bar. Furthermore there have are reports which say that iMac 2017 will be a VR-ready as VR is one of the main focus areas of top tech companies currently.

The Apple iMac 2017 is said to have Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type-C ports for faster data transfer and the battery charging.

The upcoming Apple iMac will be featuring a full Flash Storage. It should be remembered that previous iterations used a Fusion Drive for its 27-inch models while offering it as build-to-order for the 21.5-inch models.

The 27-inch Apple iMac will flaunt a 5K display with an Intel 10-core Xeon E7 and the latest AMD FirePro W9100.
