As there are all sorts of unbelievable NBA trade rumors circling around the internet every day, some of them occasionally seem to prove a bit more credible than the others. Miami Heat is one team that is popping up often in past few days due to their struggles.
According to reports, they currently have problems with carrying Chris Bosh's mega salary cap deal as he remains sidelined unless independent doctors clear him to play. Also, the team has many talented players but that talent hasn't exactly come together to look like a playoff competitor.
There is a possibility that someone will be moved from the Heats and the name that pops up is guard Goran Dragic. So, Pat Riley probably will make some big moves involving Dragic and Bosh ahead of the NBA trade deadline in February.
On Wednesday, Matt Moore of CBS Sports commented on the Miami's situation involving Chris Bosh and their best case or worst case with his salary cap.
Heat's best-case scenario now is the one in which Bosh won't be cleared to play by an independent doctor that the league and the NBPA agree on. That basically means Miami can waive Bosh and clear his deal from their salary list.
If that happen before February's trade deadline, it will give the Miami Heat some extra space to put together a big deal.
As for the worst-case scenario, it could happen that Bosh would get waived. But he can find a doctor who will clear him to play again and then sign with a new team. That would make Miami Heat responsible for the rest of his contract without the possibility of using his services.
However, there's another point of the argument since having cap space isn't that big a deal these days in the league. It's also very important to have something else of value to include in the mix. So, this is where guard Goran Dragic enters into the picture.
There have been NBA trade rumors circling around Dragic for quite some time. Heats picked him up in order help Dwyane Wade and company since LeBron James decided to return to Cleveland Cavaliers.
Goran Dragic is still a quite valuable player, even though he's on what looks like a sinking ship at the moment. So, with extra cap space and a valuable player like Dragic to go with it, it could help Miami swing some great deal like the one suggested by the All U Can Heat website involving John Wall joining Miami Heat.
Those NBA trade rumors might be true since Sportsrageous reported about recent comments made by Riley regarding the future of the Heats.
"We have a pick this year. I have intentions, if it's possible, to try and get another pick. And then we will have room. And so from that standpoint, you start making a plan and formulating what it looks like down the road. But you're going to have to get some breakthroughs - from Hassan, from Justise, from Tyler, from Josh. And then you'll see where you go from there."
He didn't bother mentioning Dragic which could mean he doesn't see him there as part of the plan for trade.
