Gilmore Girls Revival: Here’s What the Cast Feels About Getting Back into their Characters

A beloved comedy-drama television series of its times, the Netflix revival of 'Gilmore Girls' premiered on Nov. 25 under the title 'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.' Eight years is a long time for a show to return but the cast is excited and it has been a rollercoaster ride for them as they reinhabit the characters they left years ago.

For every actor who is returning to 'Gilmore Girls,' it is a special experience, nonetheless, different from an individual perspective, reports Entertainment Weekly. The lead stars Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop, who play Lorelai and Emily respectively, had it easy. The former says that it was easy in most ways while the latter felt that her character had been there all along as she travels around with her and she just stepped into the suit and zipped it up.

However, it took preparation for Alexis Bledel aka Rory and she thought a good deal about what she wanted to bring to the character. Jared Padalecki, who plays Dean, also followed a similar approach and focused on research to reprise his years-old role of Rory's boyfriend. Matt Czuchry aka Logan also encountered hiccups but got it right after preparation.

In related news, Gilmore Girls revival is quite a remarkable event as the show enjoyed a cult status and there are many reasons for fans to cheer, reports Rolling Stone. The first and foremost is that creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is back with a revival consisting of four episodes, dedicated to all the four seasons of the year. Another best thing related to Amy's return is that this is the chance for the show to get the right ending after the failed Season 7.

The fact that Richard is dead would be a focal point in the revival and it would definitely lead to some emotional moments. Rory's equation with Jess, Logan and Dean are also the highlights of the show as the three boyfriends will appear in the Netflix reboot and so is the relationship of Lorelai and Luke, who do not look happy in the trailer. Lastly, it is about those four final words that will be spoken between two characters and will bring the curtains down on the show.
