It's a wild night in the competitive Western Conference. The Dallas Mavericks finally gets a win after losing eight straight games. The New Orleans Pelicans now lost two in a row after winning four straight games. And the Los Angeles Clippers lost surprisingly into the hands of the Indiana Pacers for their second straight defeat.
This night is also filled with amazing performances as five Western Conference players scored 30 or more points. Speaking of amazing performances, here are the top 5 Western Conference from November 27 action.
No. 5: C.J. McCollum of the Portland Trailblazers
Despite the loss, C.J. McCollum played well for the Portland Trailblazers. He scored 28 points on 9-19 shooting from the floor and 6-6 from the free-throw line. He also had 3 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals.
The Blazers are quite struggling this season with a 9-10 win-loss record. They were currently 9th in the Western Conference and 0.5 games behind the Los Angeles Lakers, per ESPN. But C.J. McCollum's performance was a good sign for the Blazers.
No. 4: Eric Bledsoe of the Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns lost to the Denver Nuggets. But we can't overlook the fact that Eric Bledsoe had an outstanding performance. He tallied 35 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks in 40 minutes of action. He is also 4-8 from three-pointers and a perfect 11-11 from the foul line.
At 5-13 win-loss record, the Phoenix Suns is 14th in the West. But we can't deny the fact that Bledsoe is performing well for the Suns. Together with Devin Booker, they are one of deadliest backcourt tandem in the NBA as each of them averages over 19 points per game.
No. 3: Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans
Despite the loss, Anthony Davis had a monster performance once again. Against the Dallas Mavericks, he recorded 36 points on 12-22 field goal shooting and 12-14 from free-throws. He also had 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block.
Davis is probably in the top 3 players in the league right now. What is preventing him to get into the next level is his team's performance. If he will get the Pelicans more victories, his individual performance will be more appreciated.
No. 2: James Harden of the Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets scored a whooping 130 points against the Blazers. They shot an impressive 56.1% from the field and 47.2% from the free-throw line. As usual, James Harden led the way for the Rockets.
Harden scored 38 points on 11-22 shooting from the field and 11-13 from the free-throw line. Aside from that, he also had 10 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. This was Harden's 14th double-double this season and tied for first place with Russell Westbrook.
