Sacramento Kings' center DeMarcus Cousins is in the spotlight once again regarding a new trade rumor that swirling the news today. New reports are implying that he might sign with the Washington Wizards to join John Wall and make the team a contender in the East.
Cousins, who've been a regular figure in the rumor mills the past few months, is on the hot seat once more. Though he is putting up impressive numbers of 28.7 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 18 games for the Kings that doesn't translate to wins for them. Since last year, Cousins have been open on his disappointment with how the Kings organization runs the team.
And if the Kings continue to struggle, Cousins might ask his team to trade him earlier. And if not, he might choose to opt out on his contract with the Kings and become a free agent in 2018. And rather lose him as a free agent, the Kings might consider him to trade now while he still at a high value.

The Wizards are said to be offering a package of Bradley Beal, Otto Porter and Kelly Oubre to Kings in exchange for Cousins and probably Rudy Gay as well. If ever, the arrival of Cousins to the Wizards could be a reunion of sorts between Wall and Boogie.
Wall and Cousins are college teammates in Kentucky and have already build a chemistry on-and-off the court. And with this impending scenario, Wall might choose to stay put with the Wizards and together with Boogie they can form a powerful combo that could contend other teams in the East and boost their chances in the postseason.
Cousins have already expressed that he willing to team up with Wall and playing together is not impossible as per Bleacher Report. It is also said that Cousins and Wall are "constantly talking" and NBA is a business and anything can still happen.
