‘Mortal Kombat X’ News: Developer prefers to release ‘Injustice 2’ over ‘Kombat Pack 3’

"Mortal Kombat X" fans were very vocal about their excitement for the upcoming release of the highly anticipated DLC called "Kombat Pack 3."

Although game creator Ed Boon openly responded to the fans questions via his Twitter account, reports claimed that the anticipated DLC for Mortal Kombat X will be delayed further.

A certain Mortal Kombat X fan asked Ed Boone, through Twitter, about the possibility of having Johnny Cage as one of the guest characters in the upcoming DLC. The game creator responded by confirming that Cage can be a great guest character.

Another fan also tried to convince Ed Boon to speed up the game by sending in another tweet, asking the creator to release the game already. Ed Boon responded with a joke, saying that he's now searching for the release key from his keyboard.

NetherRealm focused on Injustice 2

Meanwhile, fans of Mortal Kombat X will be needing to extend more patience as reports claimed that the expected Kombat Pack 3 has been shelved for a bit longer to give way for another game, Injustice 2.

The theory indicated that NetherRealm Studios has been greatly focused on "Injustice 2" than "Kombat Pack 3." Since "Injustice 2" is set for release next year, reports indicated that Mortal Kombat X DLC will be delayed.

MKX fans not giving up

It seems that the release date for Mortal Kombat X DLC is still up in the air, as Ed Boon has been all out efforts in promoting the Injustice 2. The latest tweets of Ed Boon has been talking about the Injustice 2 game. But fans of Mortal Kombat X have not yet given up as they still try to find a way to get Ed Boon's attention by constantly sending him tweets about the anticipated DLC.
