Customers who are anxiously waiting for the Apple AirPods need not have to wait any more as the product will be available to them within few weeks. an email conversation between a customer and Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed this news.
The customer asked for a release date, be it a month or 6 months, admitting that the delay in delivering the AirPods will force the customer to buy any other wireless headphone. The customer also complained that they're currently stuck on the EarPods, which can't be used when charging the iPhone 7.
Replying to the email, Cook stated, "Thanks for your note. Sorry for the delay---we are finalizing them and I anticipate we will begin to ship over the next few weeks," via MacRumors. So, it can be pointed out that Apple's wireless earphones will be have release dates between December and January.
Apple AirPods were announced alongside the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and originally, the device was scheduled to go on sale in October. But difficulties in the production process caused the device not being ready for the awaiting customers on time.
Following its failure to release in October, Apple announced that it needed more time to perfect the device before selling them but did not mention any specific date. According to PhoneArena, these wireless headphones initially received criticism upon their announcement.
But as days went by, customers became more interested in the product than ever before and are waiting anxiously for them to be available.
Apple is heading towards a wireless future for their devices, iPhone 8 is already rumored to feature a completely wireless charging technology and now, the company is showcasing wireless headphones as well.
Currently, AirPods remain listed as both "coming soon" and "currently unavailable" on different sections of Apple's website and they are priced at $159.
