Angelina Jolie is not shifting to London, nor is she vying for UN Ambassadorship. She is just continuing to live in the States, so that her brood of six children can remain close to their father, Brad Pitt, even after the divorce, says an inside source.
"She's currently looking into buying a new house in L.A. so the kids can remain close to their father," says an insider.
Hence rumors that the actress is bolting to London with the six children - Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8 - have been dismissed.
Her rep vehemently denies the report. He said: "It's absolutely false."
Rumor mongers have thrown up a number of allegations against her. They have charged her "camp" of keeping up a "steady stream" of allegations calling Brad a bad dad with deep anger issues. But the real - and false - reasons for the divorce are still not clear and are not likely to be for quite a while, or maybe forever.
However, for now, she is certainly not shifting to London.
Brangelina had shifted to London for a few months even as the 52-year-old actor was completing his sci-fi thriller World War Z. So the actress is aware of what London is all about, and isn't really likely to look for something special out there. At that city, she had got a teaching job at the London School of Economics' Centre for Women, Peace and Security. "[She] is ramping up her efforts in the political world," an insider told Us Weekly in June.
At that time, Angelina wanted to stay on in London, but Brad Pitt preferred their Château Miraval estate in the South of France. "France is something Brad and Ange don't ever agree on," a source previously explained. "He loves the house there. It's his pride and joy. They call it their main base, but Angelina doesn't like it there. She thinks it's boring and too tucked away. Ange says it's a waste of money having the entire estate, and they should invest somewhere more practical, like London."
At present, though, it is obvious that she doesn't want to shift even to London. The children consume the energy of the parents, and other dream jobs wouldn't be on their minds.
"Ange would prefer they stay here for now," said an insider.
After filing for divorce, the couple has been trying to sell Château Miraval. Angelina has been living with her six children in Malibu, in a rented California home. Pitt has shared legal custody and visitation rights.
