Battlefield 4 Xbox One Patch Rolls Out To Fix Problems Following Similar PC and PlayStation Fixes

Coming off of the news that "Battlefield 4" developer DICE has finally pushed a patch of fixes to the PC and PlayStation console version of its new title, comes the news that the company is now pushing a new patch for all Xbox One users that will help eliminate some of the early onset bugs and glitches that have been plaguing the game and its servers since release.

The full list of fixes and changes can be found at the Battlefield Blog, but the main focus is to improve stability and balance. This includes issues of the flickering minimap and a problem that saw grenades bouncing back off doors when they were open.

According to IGN, other changes include an increase in damage to the stealth jet's 20mm cannons and a fix to make sure a killer's health is updated properly on the kill card. Also worth noting are the various stealth jets being made to handle more like each other, something that the developer has also done with attack jets. Friendly markers are now being shown when they should be as well, which will hopefully decrease the amount of friendly fire incidents.

Another issue solved by the patch is one that saw players spawn under the map on Lancang Dam and an animation issue that occurred when aiming as the passenger on a bike. A camera glitch that occurs when changing weapons has been removed as well.

"Battlefield 4" has suffered from a litany of problems including connection issues, crashes and bugs across all of its platforms ever since the game launched. This has led to a busy few months of patching. The problems were so bad that DICE announced it would be halting all future projects, including expansions to "Battlefield 4" until it could adequately resolve all of the game's many problems. This latest series of patches is the company's biggest swing at taking care of its problems to date. Whether or not it will work remains to be seen.
