There is no stopping trade rumors to make its way to the headlines. Now, another set of rumored deal was floated in the news today that involves three well-known point guards in the league. Rumors are saying that John Wall, Ricky Rubio, and Kris Dunn was part of this alleged deal between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Washington Wizards.
The Timberwolves got their own misery at the start of the regular season. They are currently having a losing record of 6-16 and reeling at the 13th spot in the Western Conference division. Being a team composed of young players, many say that they truly lack experience and need veteran players to guide them. And this is what Timberwolves president of basketball operation and head coach Tom Thibodeau is looking at right now.
Same goes to the Wizards, who is off to a bad start and continues to struggle as of late. Many observed that Wall and Bradley Beal is carrying too much load for the team and they need support from other players. There is also a buzz that Wall is losing patience with the current situation of the team and might ask to be traded one day.
With this all happening, a proposed trade deal is being recommended to the Minnesota Timberwolves and Washington Wizards that involves 4 players and 2 future draft picks. Trade scenario is suggesting that John Wall would head west to play for the Timberwolves. The Wizards will then receive Ricky Rubio, Kris Dunn, Gorgui Dieng plus 2 first-round draft pick in return.
Will this kind of trade finally solve the issue of both teams? There is no doubt that the Timberwolves got their needed superstar and veteran playmaker who can stabilize their offense in the point guard spot. Wall will surely be the leader of this young core and it is enticing to see playing him alongside Zach LaVine and Karl-Anthony Towns.
As for the Wizards, having Rubio, Dunn and Dieng might head them for an early reboot. Though they are solid players who can contribute both on offense and defense, the adjustment of three players will play a big factor in the Wizards rotation.
