Samsung and LG were quick to unveil their flagships this year; just a day before the main MWC 2016 event now the same is also expected to happen this time with the Galaxy S8 and LG G6. With these devices Xiaomi is also rumored to grace the main event with its new Mi6 launch.
The 2017 MWC will be held in February 2017 and we can see Samsung Galaxy S8, Xiaomi Mi6 and LG G6 on February 26. In terms of hardware, these three flagships should come with the latest Snapdragon 835 on board alongside 6GB RAM modules and native storage options, which go beyond 128GB.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to come with a flurry of changes that includes a new edge screen like what we see on the Galaxy S7 Edge, Harman stereo speakers, a removable battery, a dual-lens camera and many others. Although none of these features have been confirmed.
On the other hand, the LG G6 is said to getting rid of the LG Friends that had launched with the G5, this is a move that should be welcomed by many given that there was little to zero success with the modular design of the 2016 flagship, reports Nashville Chatter Class.
Those who were looking for the Galaxy S7, has to wait for a few weeks but for LG G5, the wait has now went beyond a few weeks and into months. However, we still expect the aforementioned companies to come with successors to these phones at the MWC 2017 event that will be held in February 2017.
There is still time remaining before the launch of Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6 and Xiaomi Mi6, expect more rumors and speculations to keep showing up. But as we come closer to the release dates now these stories should start getting concrete. The device will be launched in US, UK and Canada at the same time.
