'Batman Vs. Superman' Movie: 'Smallville' Actor Wants To Reprise His Role As Lex Luthor; Jason Momoa 'Man of Steel 2' New Aquaman?

Michael Rosenbaum, best known as Lex Luthor in the hit TV series "Smallville", wants to reprise his villainous role in director Zack Snyder's "Batman vs. Superman".

In an interview with Media Mikes, Rosenbaum was asked if he was approached by the film to take on the role of Luthor. Unfortunately, Rosenbaum hasn't received any calls from the "Man of Steel 2" camp, but is more than willingly to reprise his role.

"The fans have been unbelievable. They've tweeted me, I've tweeted back...I've been to conventions and they always ask me, 'Would you do it?' And I'm not an idiot, of course I'd do it. I'd love to do it. But I think Joaquin Phoenix is probably gonna do it or somebody," Rosenbaum told Media Mikes.

"I'm a big Zack Snyder fan," the actor added. "Obviously, I think I could play the role. I would do it in a heartbeat, but I don't hold my breath because I know there's the stigma, 'He was the TV Smallville Lex Luthor.' I say that sarcastically, but I think it's a shame. If people like the role and what I did with it, then they should consider it. But I'm not the director. I'm not the producer. Long story short, I'd do it in a f***ing heartbeat."

Rosenbaum isn't the only actor reportedly eyeing a role in "Batman vs. Superman". According to Batman-News.com, "Game of Thrones" actor Jason Momoa is reportedly up for the role of Aquaman.

"I was recently told by a very, very trusted source that the role Jason Momoa was up for (but is currently denying) is definitely Aquaman, but it's essentially a cameo setting up the next movie," a source told Badass Digest, Batman-News.com reports.

Momoa recently denied rumors saying he was attached to the film in any way to IGN.

"It's just rumors," Momoa told IGN. "I want to say something amazing, but I can't comment on rumors. It's flattering...I'm not involved in it."
