Apple iPhone 8 To Feature 3D Facial Recognition, 5.8-inch OLED Panel, Virtual Buttons

Fresh predictions and tips indicate that Apple will come up with new innovative technology which will set its flagship apart. Apple iPhone 8 is predicted to have 3D facial recognition and 5.8-inch OLED Panel with virtual buttons below features. Wireless charging feature is reported not to be seen in the upcoming iPhone 8.

According to Mac Rumors, fresh tips appear from JP Morgan analyst Rod Hall, whose tips are in line with the predictions made by the top Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The fresh tip indicates that the next iPhone will ditch the fingerprint scanner along with the physical home button.

And it is believed that this technology has already been adopted in most of the tech smartphones. So, Hall suggests that Apple might introduce a front 3D laser tech for facial recognition which will have top end security of the users.

The analyst, however, admits that the new facial recognition technology might boom the prices of iPhone 8 by roughly $10 to $15. Hall, however, adds that facial recognition adoption may increase Apple Pay adoption among consumers which were still not happy with the reliability of Touch ID.

According to another Mac Rumors report, the KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the new iPhone 8 is expected to arrive with a 5.8-inch OLED display panel. it is also predicted that the OLED panel will be featured in the entire front panel of the phone, which will result in bezel-free iPhone. So, finally, it is believed that with this type of design predictions, the iPhone 8 will be having no physical home button.

Kuo explains that the OLED iPhone will have measurements similar to the 4.7-inch iPhone, allowing for one-handed operation. Kuo suggests that this size is possible with a 5.8-inch panel where there will be no extra space outside of the display. Also, Kuo noted that it will feature a display similar in size to the 5.5-inch iPhone, but in a 4.7-inch package.

As per the CNBC report, another JP Morgan analyst Harlun Sur claims that Apple is presently working with the Broadcom to bring wireless charging technology to the iPhone 8. Sur adds that Apple and Broadcom have already started that work two years now and are currently finding the solutions for this innovative feature. Sur claims that upcoming Apple's iPhone 8 may not support wireless charging this year and it might appear in future.

"We believe the glass back cover is conducive to wireless charging as it reduces signal interference versus a metal casing. It is possible for Apple to add proprietary features such as fast charging or extended charging to differentiate itself from the pack and enhance the value of its own hardware ecosystem," CNBC quotes Sur.

There are no official statements yet on the upcoming iPhone; however, readers are requested to take all the leaks and tips with the grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates
