Is ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Reboot On Cards? Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley Share Opinion Amid Fans’ Demand

"The Vampire Diaries" reboot has been a much-debated topic among fans which has become more of a demand as The CW series is coming to an end. However, actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, who play the Salvatore brothers on the show, are all for ending the show as they want to close the chapter.

While fans are in favor of "The Vampire Diaries" reboot, lead actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley feel it is good to close the chapter. According to Entertainment Weekly, the two were discussing the show at a press screening where Wesley said that he thinks he is closing the chapter. Ian Somerhalder also seconded his opinion saying that he also thinks it is good to close the chapter.

The actor who plays Damon explained that in 10 years, he might be probably living on a ranch in Wyoming and people might not hear from him again. He further said that there is something beautiful about closure. However, he made an interesting remark about the show that would make fans, favoring "The Vampire Dairies" reboot, agree with his views in a way.

According to Movie Fone, Ian Somerhalder said that television never dies, thanks to Netflix. He claimed that even till this day fans come up to him on airports and talk about how they are just discovering the allure of Damon Salvatore. So, in his view "The Vampire Diaries" is never going to die.
