"The Vampire Diaries" will become a memory in a day's time when the finale of The CW series airs and fans would be moved to know that the entire team got emotional shooting on the last day. What is more, executive producer Julie Plec and stars Paul Wesley and Candice King shared their feelings about saying goodbye to the show.
"The Vampire Diaries" team was moved to tears as they shot the last scenes in January, claimed Entertainment Weekly. Julie Plec revealed that they wanted to go big in terms of action as well as emotion as it was a goodbye and a big one. In sync with the title of the finale "I Was Feeling Epic," she said that they were absolutely feeling epic.
Notably, some days back, Nina Dobrev had also revealed to be feeling nostalgic as she shot for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale. She admitted to getting triggered by moments and said that she had many beautiful memories of the six years that she spent on the sets of "The Vampire Diaries." She acknowledged that she was glad to be a part of it.
Also, Julie Plec, Candice King aka Caroline and Paul Wesley aka Stefan got candid about shooting "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale. According to The Huffington Post, King revealed to be feeling torn inside when anyone would mention bidding goodbye to her character. Wesley also admitted that it was hard but he had been preparing himself for three years and it made things easier for him.
Talking about the last day on the sets, King said that it was incredibly emotional as "The Vampire Diaries" had defined a decade of her life. She revealed that it was a powerful moment accompanied by tears and silly string and the latter brought laughs for them. Julie Plec disclosed that she had arranged for the string attack so that they could end up on a party note. Wesley liked it and called it funny and a bit surreal.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale titled "I Was Feeling Epic" airs on March 10 on The CW at 9:00 p.m.
