Zara Phillips Baby: Queen Elizabeth’s Granddaughter Gives Birth to Future Royal Baby Girl

There's another royal baby! Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter Zara Phillips gave birth earlier this morning, Jan. 17 at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in Western England. Phillips and her husband, Mike Tindall, welcomed a baby girl weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces. This is the first child for Phillips and Tindall.

The baby girl's name has not been revealed yet but she won't have a royal title. According to the Daily Mail, the baby will be 16th in line for the throne and is the Queen's fourth great-grandchild.

Phillips and her newborn are said to be doing fine and already back home, according to Buckingham Palace.

"Thanks so much for all your kind messages," Tindall tweeted. "Definitely the best day of my life today, so happy! The girls are both doing great!"

The baby was born a few months after the birth of Prince George of Cambridge, the royal baby to Duchess Kate Middleton and Prince William. The baby, a first for Middleton and Prince William, was born in July 2013 and is third in-line for the throne - behind Prince Charles and Prince William.

Phillips is the cousin of Prince William and was also named one of the godparents to Prince George. Before the newest royal baby was born, Phillips told Australian's Woman's Weekly that she hoped that her and her husband's laid-back style would rub off on their first-born.

"I think we're both quite well-balanced and laid-back as a couple, so hopefully he or she will pick up on that," she said. "I hope were going to make good parents. That's the plan."

Phillips and Tindall wanted to be surprised and waited until the future royal baby was born before finding out the sex.
