Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge: Canadian Carriers Release Android 7.0 Nougat update

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users on several Canadian carriers are now getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Android 7.0 Nougat update was released by Google in August 2016. The amazingly developed Android OS brings in amazing features and boosts the user experience of the Smartphone.

As per the report brought up the Sam Mobile, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge owners available on the Canadian carriers like the SaskTel, Bell, Virgin Mobile, EastLink, Wind Mobile and Freedom Mobile are now receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update.

It is reported that the firmware version G935W8VLU2BQB6 is being rolled out for the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge (SM-G935W8). Also, a firmware version of G930W8VLU2BQB6 is rolled out for the Galaxy S7 (SM-G930W8). The Android update is 1.3GB in size and users are requested to connect the smartphones to a good Wi-Fi network and charge the battery before starting the download and installation process. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users on different Canadian Carriers are requested to have patience until the update rolls into the phone via OTA.

Rogers Communications Inc. is a Canadian communications and media company and is one of the country's largest carriers has not released the Android 7.0 Nougat update yet. But, Rogers confirmed that the update will hit the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge owner on its carrier on March 20, 2017. The S7 and S7 Edge users in on the Rogers carrier is currently having Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS and it will be an exciting update for the users on this carrier.

Google's new Android 7.0 Nougat brings in Multi-windows features which allow two apps to run on one the same screen. Also, the update is equipped with a quick switch with a double tap on the multitasking button, and interactive notifications (plus bundled notifications).
