AT&T, one of the largest telecommunication company in the United States has released a new firmware update to the best smartphones of Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge are smartphones to which the company has released the March Security patch via over the air (OTA).
According to the Android Soul, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge are receiving the firmware update, which is nothing but a march android security patch. Along with the security patch, it is reported that the devices are also provided with regular bug fixes and system enhancements.
The new firmware update hitting the AT&T based Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a firmware build number G925AUCS6DQC1. The firmware build numbers for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge are N910AUCS2EPK5 and N915AUCS2DPK5 respectively.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Note 4 and Note Edge users on AT&T will receive the firmware update via OTA and a notification will pop-up for download and install. So, the users can manually check the update by going to Settings > About device > System updates. User rare requested to ensure the percentage of battery power and Wi-Fi network connection before heading to download and installation process.
AT&T, the telecommunication tech giant has also released the software update to the Samsung flagships-Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The build number for the firmware released is G930AUCS4BQC2 for Galaxy S7 and G935AUCS4BQC2 for Galaxy S7 Edge. This update is also released via OTA and has already started to it the devices.
The firmware update with March Security patch has no detailed information regarding the changes that can be seen in the phones after installing the update. It is believed that the software update will have a few bug fixes and stability optimizations. Stay tuned for more updates.
