BlackBerry KEYone Set For May 5 Release In Europe

BlackBerry KEYone Smartphone launched in February is expected to be released into the European tech market on May 5, 2017. The United Kingdom retailer Clove has already listed the Smartphone on its website and it can be seen that the device is carrying a price tag of £499 inclusive of VAT.

As per the Clove listing, the BlackBerry KEYone Smartphone listed shows "first stock expected 5th May." This means that the Smartphone will be in the hands of the BlackBerry enthusiasts after May 5, 2017, in the United Kingdom.

The BlackBerry KEYone in Germany is currently available for pre-orders. The Smartphone was also found hitting the Indian retailer website earlier this month and in Canada major carriers has confirmed the arrival soon. The United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has also certified the smartphone, which is clearly required to release in the tech market of the country.

The BlackBerry KEYone Smartphone sports a 4.50-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1620 pixels by 1080 pixels at a PPI of 433 pixels per inch. Under the hood, it is powered by 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

The BlackBerry KEYone Smartphone packs 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The Smartphone sports a 12-megapixel primary camera on the rear with geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama features. The front face of the Smartphone carries an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

The BlackBerry KEYone runs Android 7.1 Nougat and packs a 3505mAh nonremovable battery, Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope sensors. The connectivity options included in the smartphone are 4G connectivity, WiFi support for both 2.4 and 5GHz frequencies, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB type-c connectivity.

The smartphone comes with pre-loaded applications which include Gmail, Hangouts, Google Chrome, Google Drive, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Play, Google Photos, Messenger (SMS) and Android Device Manager.
