Marvel had been known for its superhero films like the “Avengers” franchise. Fortunately, another team is said to be set up on Netflix as “The Defenders” consist of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and of course, Daredevil.
According to Mail Online, the trailer for “The Defenders” showed the vigilantes riding an elevator on the 45th floor of Midland Circle Financial. Yet, as they get down to the 43rd floor, detective Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) spots a surveillance camera and took it out. Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) were then showed alongside Jessica keeping their heads down.
“The Defenders” premiere date was then revealed to be Aug. 18, 2017 as the time on the upper right stopped at 08:18:20:17. Meanwhile, the upper left revealed a site address of [https://23.253.120.81] which showed a New York Bulletin archive newspaper along with other videos and covers headlining Daredevil, Luke Cage and Rand.
Regarding the other casts of “The Defenders,” Elodie Young from “Daredevil” Season 2 is said to reprise her role as Elektra Natchios in the Netflix series. Meanwhile, the villain Alexandra is said to be portrayed by Sigourney Weaver yet her connection to The Hand isn’t yet known per News.
Other “The Defenders” guest stars include Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), Stick (Scott Glenn), Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss), Misty Knight (Simone Missick), Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) and Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick).
On another note, Comic Book reported that “Spider-Man: Homecoming” producer Eric Carroll seems to want a cameo on “The Defenders.” “I think that’s something we all think would be really fun and it’s definitely a card I would love to see played, if not sooner rather than later. But as of now, it’s not referenced in this movie,” he stated.
“The Defenders” is then reported to only have eight episodes instead of the usual Netflix 13 episode and would air on Aug. 18, 2017 under Douglas Petrie (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) and Marco Ramirez.
