Monday saw the release of "House of Cards" Season 5 trailer and it lives up to the viewers' expectations as one can see Frank Underwood in his trademark sinister style. According to E! News, the trailer monologue has Frank saying that the American people do not know what is best for them but he knows the exact things they need. Likening them to little children, Franks says that he has to hold their hands and clean their dirty mouths.
He calls it his personal responsibility to teach them the difference between right and wrong and what to think and desire. Frank is full of disdain for the Americans in this "House of Cards" Season 5 trailer. The monologue has him pitying them as they need his help even for writing their dreams but congratulates them as they have him to guide them. His megalomania and arrogance continue as he envisions himself as the President of the US for many more coming terms, Los Angeles Times claimed.
Notably, "House of Cards" Season 5 trailer picks up from where Season 4 ended. It has Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) struggling to win the election against Will Conway and also making efforts to save his marriage. The coming season is the first in the series that will not be directed by Beau Willimon. Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese are the joint showrunners in this fifth season. Also, fresh cast members Patricia Clarkson and Campbell Scott will be making appearances for the first time.
