According to E! News there's some drama on the set of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Thankfully it's not between the two main characters Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele).
A source revealed to the site that "Fifty Shades" author E.L. James and director Sam Taylor-Johnson are butting heads over the script.
"Sam is getting annoyed about the way the script is being handled," the source said. "E.L. James wants the movie to match the book exactly, but Sam is reminding E.L. she writes books and she makes movies. This has caused some tension between the two of them."
James had nothing but kind words to say about Taylor-Johnson in the past so hopefully the two ladies can work things out. The source reassures that Johnson and Dornan are getting along fine.
"Jamie Dornan is really protective over Dakota," the source said. "She is very friendly and talks to everyone. Jamie stays to himself and does not talk much. Jamie think Dakota gets really distracted, because she is so nice to people and so he will walk over to who she is talking to and try and end the conversation. He is nice about it, but he does ask them to leave her alone."
According to this source, the 24-year-old actress "is nailing her role" as the shy, college student who falls for Christian. The drama between Taylor-Johnson and James is reportedly not the only aggravation on set. E! reports that residents near the filming location are not happy about the erotic movie being shot so close to where they live.
"Neighbors at the building were upset over the noise and water flying everywhere," the source said about an outdoor scene that required rain. "An older man continued to ruin scenes by opening his window and shaking a cowbell. He did not stop until they came to some sort of a resolution with producers."
Apparently that resolution included moving the rain machine to a different location. Other residents also fussed about production telling James and company that if any water got in their house, the production team would have to pay the bill.
There is some good news for the movie. A picture recently surfaced on the Internet of singer Rita Ora channeling her character Mia Grey wearing a black, bob-styled wig posing next to her "mother," actress Marcia Gay Harden who was cast as Dr. Grace Trevelyan.
