George and Amal Clooney are now proud parents of twins. On Tuesday, Amal gave birth to daughter Ella and son Alexander and ever since the news came out, good wishes and greetings have been pouring in from celebrities and fans on social media.
The good news is finally here. According to People, George and Amal Clooney became parents to daughter Ella and son Alexander on Tuesday, after the international human rights lawyer gave birth to twins. George's publicist confirmed the news saying that the mother and the babies are doing fine. Amal's parents have also expressed their happiness at becoming grandparents and her father said that he is very happy for his daughter and son-in-law.
Her mother Baria confirmed the news as well and said that the delivery was smooth and the babies are doing well. Notably, rumors about George and Amal Clooney expecting their first baby had been doing rounds since last year but it was only in February that the news was confirmed. It was Matt Damon who gave it away and later the expecting couple was spotted together in public many times.
Meanwhile, the colleagues and fans of George and Amal Clooney have congratulated the couple. Ellen DeGeneres welcomed the twins into the world and jokingly called the family of four "Ocean's Four." Mia Farrow also offered her best wishes and blessings to the twins while congratulating the couple. Nicole Kidman extended her good wishes while speaking at an awards function.
Fans were also not far behind as they took to Twitter to express their happiness for George and Amal Clooney. One user expressed surprise at the common names the couple chose for their kids saying that they were violating the celebrity rules. It is worth mentioning here that George and Amal Clooney tied the knot in 2014 and though the former was not keen on becoming a father, he later admitted that he was excited to welcome the kids.
