Fantastic Four Reboot Cast Rumors: 'Game of Thrones' Stars and More To Test For Hero Roles In Fox's Upcoming Film

20th Century Fox is ramping up its efforts to get a reboot of The Fantastic Four off the ground. New reports indicate that a new script has been completed and that now, several actors are getting ready to do test reads for the roles of the iconic superhero team members.

According to Variety, screenwriter Simon Kinberg has finished rewriting the script for the reboot that the studio plans to begin testing actors for the roles of Reed Richards, otherwise known as Mr. Fantastic, and Sue Storm, otherwise known as the Invisible Woman.

Reports indicate that a lot of the people that were originally rumored to be signed onto the cast will be among those reading for the roles. This includes Miles Teller, Kit Harington, Richard Madded, Kate Mara and Saoirse Ronan.

Teller was originally asked in an interview at Sundance if he would be playing Richards. He replied: "yeah that should be happening in the next few weeks." This response led many to believe that he was either already on board or, at the very least, a front-runner for the position. However, sources tell Variety that the actor had misunderstood the question and merely meant that he would be reading for the role in the next few weeks.

Harington and Madden will be breaking the bond of brotherly love established in Game of Thrones to compete for the role of the leader of the Fantastic Four, Reed Richards.

Mara and Ronan are expected to test for Sue Storm. Meanwhile, Michael B. Jordan is attached to play Johnny Storm, also known as the Human Torch, but he is still going to test with the actors to see which group has the best chemistry.

The film will be directed by Josh Trank along with Kinberg. Matthew and Gregory Goodman will be serving as producers for the reboot, which is scheduled for a June 19, 2015 release.
