Tori Spelling's husband Dean McDermott has reportedly checked himself into a rehab facility to seek treatment for an unspecified "health and personal issues."
McDermott, 47, is reportedly at a Los Angeles area rehab center, but has not confirmed which facility he is seeking help, according to multiple reports.
"I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family," McDermott said in a statement to PEOPLE. "I take full responsibility for my actions and have voluntarily checked myself into a treatment center to address some health and personal issues. I am grateful to be getting the help I need so I can become the husband and father my family deserves."
McDermott and Spelling have four children together: Liam, 6, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 15 months. Spelling has yet to speak out on the issue, but sources told Hollywood Life she isn't taking McDermott's alleged cheating scandal very well.
"Tori's been feeding her kids lots of junk food from McDonald's because she's too lazy to cook," a source told Hollywood Life. "She's used to Dean doing all the cooking and now that he's gone, her kids are nutritionally suffering. She refuses to learn how to cook. She goes to McDonald's and other fast food places multiple times a week. She even sends her assistants out to pick up a treasure trove of fries for her kids. It's just sad."
A previous report from Star magazine claimed Spelling's friend Mehran Farhat has been living with the actress to help her take care of the children, which allegedly upset McDermott.
"Dean absolutely hates Mehran living there and doesn't want him acting as a father figure to his children," an insider told Star. "Dean is doing everything he can to keep Tori from leaving him and used the kids as a bargaining tool to get her to agree to couples' therapy. He's guilt-tripped her by saying it would be detrimental for the kids if they divorce. She reluctantly agreed but has made it clear that going to therapy in no way means that she will forgive him."
