Justin Bieber DUI Arrest Gets 'SNL' Spoof? Writing Team Allegedly 'Scrambling' To Complete Skits About Troubled Singer

Justin Bieber’s arrest on Jan. 22 has turned into comedic gold for some, and NBC’s sketch comedy show “Saturday night Live” is reportedly going to take full advantage of the situation.

Inside sources told Hollywood Life the “SNL” writers are furiously working to spoof Bieber’s arrest and add more skits spoofing the singer than usual.

“The writers are scrambling to do a Justin Bieber Wolf of Wall Street-type skit on his troubles as the cold open, and Seth Meyers is definitely adding stuff to ‘Weekend Update,’” the source revealed. “They’re definitely going to make one of their main skits about the arrest.”

Bieber’s already been spoofed by late night show host Conan O’Brien. The comedian began his monologue as followed:

“Justin Bieber was arrested last night for DUI, resisting arrest, illegal drag racing. I think he still doesn’t understand the seriousness of his situation. Take a look.”

O’Brien then showed a doctored video of Bieber waving money in the court as the judge decided what his bail should be set to. The fake Bieber arms then burned the cash and flipped off the camera by the end. Check out the video below to watch O’Brien’s spoof.

According to multiple reports, Bieber was arrested in Miami, Fla. for resisting arrest, driving under the influence, driving with an expired license and drag racing. He went before a judge the same day as his arrest, and reportedly admitted to taking prescription drugs from his mother.

After the reports, some celebrities took to Twitter to respond to the jokes that were being made about Bieber.

“Been a long day. Bottom line is we are defined by how we handle adversity. Be there when it counts. Love fully in good times and bad,” Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun wrote.

“Days like today remind us how much more compassion, understanding and tolerance we need to have for 1 another.. less judgment and critique,” Ariana Grande wrote.

Bieber was released on $2,500 bail.
