Zac Efron confirmed a meeting with the "Star Wars Episode 7" production team during a recent interview with MTV News.
Efron, along with actors Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan, was promoting his new film "That Awkward Moment" when Josh Horowitz asked who is most likely to get cast in a "Star Wars" film.
Teller chimed in, reminding Efron he was reportedly linked to the film. Efron responded: "Yeah, I just went and met with them. So I don't know. It would be cool. I love them, I love them, but... who knows?"
Efron didn't divulge any details about "Episode 7" or if he was up for a role in J.J. Abram's upcoming film, but he did confirm the speculation which first surfaced summer of 2013. (Watch the video below to hear Efron explain his "Star Wars" encounter)

Neither Abrams nor anyone from the "Star Wars" camp has confirmed any casting news relating to the film. However, StarWars7News.com reports the production team is allegedly looking into casting Luke Skywalker's wife:
"Right now they're looking at using the basic descriptions of EU characters with different names. Luke's wife will follow the same template as Shira Brie/Mara Jade. Red hair, Green eyes, attitude etc. The same with the kids of the big three. Fans should not expect to see Kyle Katarn, Corran Horn or Cilghal, but characters who are very much like them...
"That's why Bob Iger said they would use the 17,000 character for inspiration for new characters. Shira Brie and Mara Jade are the templates for Luke's wife/Love interest. Jaina will be the inspiration for the Solo daughter, Jacen for the Solo son and Ben for the Skywalker son. Most of the new characters in the new continuity are based on characters from the old continuity."
Efron does look like he could pass for Luke Skywalker's son. What do you think of a potential Zac Efron casting? Let us know in the comments section below.
