‘The Walking Dead’ Season 4 Spoilers: The Governor’s Big Return, Carl Loses ‘Something Important to Him’

The return of AMC's "The Walking Dead" is right around the corner (Feb. 9) and spoilers for the reaming eight episodes of Season 4 are still rolling in. This time the spoilers center on Carl and The Governor.

Yup, you read that. According to TV Guide, the Governor is back, the same Governor that died in episode 8. They also dropped a pretty-disturbing hint about Carl:

"Don't expect to see too many familiar faces since Rick and Carl take center stage when the AMC drama returns. While Rick heals from his beating from The Governor - whom you will see again - Carl will lose something very important to him. (No, not his innocence!). In other news, it won't be long before this mystery is blown wide open."

"This mystery" refers to Michonne and her very secret past. It's been reported that the remaining of Season 4 will reveal her extremely sad background. Fans got a hint at her past a while back when she was crying while holding baby Judith.

As far as Carl loosing something "very important to him," we think there could be two possibilities. Comic book fans already know that Carl loses his eye after being accidentally shot in the face. There's another possibility that Carl could end losing Rick.

There have been several rumors that one of the major characters was going to die and there's been some speculation that it could be Rick. Now back to The Governor making an appearance in episode 9. TV Guide didn't say how The Governor could return so it could be in flashbacks or he could have turned into a walker.

Even though it's been said that Lilly delivered the final blow to The Governor, it wasn't shown on TV. Viewers saw Lilly point the gun and pull the trigger but did she miss? Did she chicken out? Did she think she had shot The Governor but the bullet magically missed him?

David Morrisey, who plays the antagonist, hinted at The Governor's return saying: "Something happened to him. I feel like a shady politician where I can't confirm and I can't deny anything. Certainly, bad things befell him at the end of the of that last episode but we just have to wait and see."

Tell us what you think. Is the Governor really dead? What do you think Carl will lose?
