‘Good Luck Charlie’ Star Mia Talerico Death Threats: Police Investigating Disturbing Messages Sent to 5-Year-Old Disney Actress

“Good Luck Charlie” star Mia Talerico, 5, is receiving death threats on her personal Instagram page. According to TMZ, Talerico’s mom started noticing the disturbing messages last month and alerted Disney security.

LAPD’s Threat Management Unit also got involved and is trying to locate the suspect. Some of the messages aimed at the little girl, who plays Charlie Duncan on the Disney show, included “Die Mia, F**king Die in hell! Kill yourself, you deserve to die.”

TMZ also reports the suspect sent a picture of Talerico’s head with a bloody fist covering it with the message “Yes, kill you stupid b**ch.”

So far, police have not identified the suspect. “Good Luck Charlie” recently made headlines for becoming the first show on a kid-oriented network to feature a same-sex couple.

On a recent episode viewers were introduced to Susan and Cheryl, who played Lesbian parents to Taylor, Charlie’s friend.

“Taylor has two moms!” Bob (Eric Allan Kramer) said after meeting the two women.

“Wow! Nothing gets past you, Bob,” Amy (Leigh Allyn Baker) responded.

“This particular storyline was developed under the consultancy of child development experts and community advisors,” a Disney Channel spokesperson told TV guide. “Like all Disney Channel programming, it was developed to be relevant to kids and families around the world and to reflect themes of diversity and inclusiveness.”

The episode was met with both praise and criticism. It particularly angered advocacy group OneMillionMoms, who tried to stop Disney from airing the episode.

“Just because something may be legal or because some are choosing a lifestyle doesn’t make it morally correct,” the group wrote on their website. “Disney should stick to entertaining instead of pushing an agenda. Disney decided to be politically correct versus providing family-friendly programming.”
