Rosie O'Donnell Returns To 'The View' For First Time Since Elisabeth Hasselbeck's Exit; Talks 'The Fosters', Justin Bieber And More

Comedian Rosie O'Donnell visited "The View" for the first time since leaving the show in 2007 after refusing to continue working with former cohost Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

The unapologetic actress went on the show to promote her new guest star arc on "The Fosters". The ABC family show is about a married lesbian couple that takes care of one biological child, two adopted twins and a pair of foster kids.

One recent foster child, Callie, is about to age out of the system, but has suffered from emotional and physical abuse while she was in the system. O'Donnell plays Rita Hendricks, a social worker who helps prepare troubled teens for life outside of foster care.

O'Donnell spoke about many hot button issues while on "The View". Check out what O'Donnell said on the show.

O'Donnell On Philip Seymour Hoffman: "I think if you read [Russell Brand's piece about his struggles with addiction], you'll understand just how crippling this disease is and it's about time we stop shaming addicts. When you're addicted to things, it's not a game."

Why O'Donnell Feels Justin Bieber Should Get A Break: "Poor baby. Here's the thing: Fame is a tidal wave. It sweeps you away." [Sherri Shepherd brings up Bieber egging houses.] "Oh, come on. I throw eggs at houses every Halloween of my life. Do I think he needs parental supervision in a way that he's not getting? I certainly do. But do I think he should be deported? No way, José."

O'Donnell on Dylan Farrow and Woody Allen Scandal: "I firmly believe Dylan, and I believe Mia. You can never really know what goes on in a house."

Not all of "The View" ladies agreed with what O'Donnell, but no one went after her for stating her opinions. The ladies also offered the actress to comeback on the show to promote a stand-up special with HBO, which is aimed to raise awareness on women's heart disease.
