Henry Cavill has reported on set in Detroit, Mich. for the untitled "Batman vs. Superman" production and seems to be making his way around the city just fine.
Cavill is keeping busy while in Detroit and recently volunteered at a Crossfit competition at Motorcity Crossfit, according to ComicBookMovie. Fans approached the "Man of Steel" actor to take photos and he gladly obliged.
"Meet Henry Cavill, a volunteer at today's Crossfit competition at Motorcity Crossfit. His day job is supposedly wearing a red cape and fighting Batman in a new hollywood movie shooting somewhere around here," one fan captioned an Instagram photo of the actor. (See more photos here)
As for the "Batman vs. Superman" production, there seems to be some major changes coming to light, thanks to Batman-On-Film.com's sources. More specifically, the testing and filming of the new batmobile.
"My sources tell me a shoot is currently taking place in the Los Angeles area. What's being shot? Well, I've been told it involves the highly anticipated, new BATMOBILE! Whether this footage will end up being used in the film or is for the purposes of testing/promotion is not entirely clear. But it does reveal that pre-Terrio/Affleck designs have been retained," a source close to production told the Batman news site.
The insider also revealed the footage of a college football game shot in East Los Angeles late last year will be reshot in Michigan in mid-March.
"With Chris Terrio now [re-writing the film], that footage is likely scrapped," the source told Batman-On-Film.
Ben Affleck will report to set in the beginning of this summer, according to his wife Jennifer Garner. The actress revealed the whole family will join their father in support of his new Batman role to a local Detroit sports radio station.
"Batman vs. Superman" is scheduled to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
