New York City Police arrested a fourth teenager in the death of a good Samaritan who got hit by a subway train while helping an assault victim on New Year's Day.

According to the New York Police Department, 19-year old Noel Rosado was arrested on Friday afternoon on suggested charges of murder, manslaughter, robbery, gang assault, and assault that led to the death of Roland Hueston, 36.

Detectives identified Rosado as a member of the group of teens who got aggressive towards a drunken 38-year-old man going around the Fordham Road station platform located at Fordham Heights.

The man was reportedly blowing a horn to celebrate the new year around 2:40 a.m. on January 1. The teens approached the man, which led to an argument, per News 12 report. Later on, the teens physically hurt the man by punching and kicking him repeatedly.

According to prosecutors, the teens ransacked the victim's fanny pack and took his wallet and cash. One teen showed a knife to the man, the police said. But the authorities never recovered a gun from the scene.

As the victim went down the ground, the group forced him to get off the subway platform and "onto the train tracks," according to prosecutors. Authorities say the man fell on the roadbed, where the tracks are, as a train came.

Then Hueston rescued the man off the tracks but subsequently got hit by the incoming train, resulting in his death. The train slowed down and did not hit the assault victim, who was brought to a hospital for the treatment of a broken arm.

Assailants ran away from the station. Although police did not indicate how many persons were part of the incident, they released CCTV photographs from the location in early January, which showed a group of people wanted to connect with the attack, as per a CNN report.

According to the NYPD, three other male teenagers were detained in January in connection with the crime, including a 16-year-old and two 17-year-olds. Each was being detained on murder, robbery, gang assault, and assault charges at the time.

Family Attest Hueston's Kindness

Hueston's family said that the good Samaritan did not know the man he saved that costed his life.

His mother, Milicent, said in an interview that Hueston was kind-hearted and "cared a lot" about people around him, which is why they were not surprised by his heroic deed, according to a New York Daily News report.

"He's a hero and will continue to be remembered as a hero in our family and the community," she said.

NYPD Investigating Subway Attacks

Early this year, police were probing several attacks in the New York subway system per CNN.

A 40-year-old woman died on January 15 at the Times Square-42nd Street subway station after being shoved in front of an oncoming train in a random act, according to authorities. After turning himself up less than an hour later, authorities charged a suspect with second-degree murder.

According to the NYPD, a 62-year-old man was shoved into subway lines in Lower Manhattan eight days later and had minor injuries. The city's transit chief advised citizens to stay away from platform edges following the incident.
