A top Russian politician has recommended that Russian security forces kidnap a NATO defense minister in Ukraine and transport him to Moscow.
The delivery of Western weapons to Ukraine poses a direct threat to Russia, according to Oleg Morozov, who was first elected to the Russian parliament in 1993. He went on to say that any information obtained during questioning may lead to a reconsideration of Russia's military objectives. Over the last several weeks, pro-Kremlin voices in Moscow have become more hostile in their rhetoric.

Vladimir Putin Calls Ukraine Invasion a "Special Military Operation"
A top Kremlin security official pledged yesterday that if provoked, Moscow will "fulfill threats" of a missile assault. Dmitry Medvedev, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, called Washington's decision not to give Ukraine rocket weapons capable of hitting Russian targets "fair."
Russia would have retaliated against Biden's "criminal decisions" against targets "not in Kiev at all," Medvedev stated on his Telegram channel.
Morozov, a member of the Russian parliament since 1993, made the statements in response to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin's recent train rides to Kyiv. He further argued that the influx of Western weapons into Ukraine is posing a direct danger to Russia. The invasion of Ukraine by Russia began on February 24 and has lasted 97 days, as per Fox News.
Furthermore, Russian President Vladimir Putin has termed the 97-day battle as a "special military operation" intended at disarming Ukraine and ending what he sees as ultranationalists' persecution of Russian speakers in Ukraine. He also accuses the US of endangering Russia by influencing Ukraine through NATO expansion.
Ukraine and its Western allies argue Russia is waging an illegitimate war on a sovereign state fighting for its life. Russia has repeatedly warned the West that providing advanced weapons to Ukraine risks aggravating the conflict. Ukraine has asked the West for more long-range weaponry.
