Black US Voters Shift Support for Biden Due to 2-Year Unsatisfactory Performance
Black US voters are less than likely to support Joe Biden in the 2024 elections, and the midterms are shaping to be a bloodbath for the Democrats. Polls show that fewer black US voters are less than likely to vote for Joe Biden based on his performance with domestic affairs. African-Americans are the demographic that enabled him to win the 2020 presidential elections.

Black Voters Won't Back Democrats

A Washington Post-Ipsos poll show results last Saturday indicated a drop of 70% for his dismal performance from 90% in 2020, reported RT.

Respondents about less than a quarter strongly approve of his performance which might end in a Democrat massacre in the midterms. More than a quarter or 28% disapprove, from strongly to somewhat, which makes it worse, cited Cubasi.

Furthermore, only 60% of black voters believe Biden is working to keep most of his major campaign promises, whereas 37% believe he is not.

The cost of living is rising due to record inflation, so from voting rights to policing revision, Biden's failing to achieve on the issues his supporters care about has allowed many of them serious reservations about voting in November, noted Salten.

When it comes to lessening crime, only a measly fifth of all surveys are okay, but a huge 42% say that he is nearly incompetent with little done and a third are sure he let the criminals run amuck.

Crime Bill in 1994 Haunts Former Vice-President

Joe Biden was hampered by the opposition in the presidential primaries as the key author of the 1994 crime bill that had the 'three strikes' provision, which sent black Americans to jail. Many of the sentences were harsh for lesser crimes that black voters took into account.

The president has defended his stance on the bill and tried to be a crusader for criminal justice reform. He pardoned three people and commuted the sentences of 75 drug offenders who aren't violent.

But the three-strikes laws authored as a senator is still pervasive.

After two years in office, black voters are less persuaded that Biden is compassionate to their difficulties, with an 8-point plunge from 74 % to 66 % in 2022.

About three-quarters are sure the Republicans are racist against the black community, and a quarter assumes the Democrats are no better.

Crisis After Crisis Plague the Biden Administration

As many as two-thirds (64%) will vote in the midterms when surveyed recently affected by a badly working administration. But this number was higher in June 2020 at 85%, indicating they will vote, a steep drop in 2022.

Pro Democrats have defended the dismal work of the Biden White House, the upper house, and lower houses in government. But the black community is still more tolerant of the administration than others, polls have established that low approval is the trend among most voters. Only 36% in the Reuters/Ipsos poll released a month back say it is okay, but it's not.

Biden's 2020 win is mainly due to the endorsement of black voters, who dominantly lean Democrat and strong support in early primary states like South Carolina helped increase the candidate placed above a white contender like Bernie Sanders.

Many of the potential nominees are not assuring in 2024, but those from the black community want Biden and no one else, Kamala Harris (27%), Pete Buttigieg (7%), Bernie Sanders (2%), Michelle Obama (1%), who are not a good picture for the Dems.

Black voters in the US who do not see Joe Biden as a good option will not support him due to the impact of an underperforming presidency.
