US President Joe Biden initially wanted to lighten the pro-Ukrainian stance from his administration officials but later adopted it. The media is full of the warhawks who are saying that Russia will lose; instead, they take back what they said.

US Pressed Propaganda Against Russia

A report last Thursday said that the president was concerned that senior defense and diplomatic officials' vitriolic statements in support of Ukraine, reported RT.

According to the report, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Biden did not like their statement throughout their joint visit to Poland last April.

They explicitly indicated that the goal of America is to help Kyiv win over Russia, not to defend as originally planned, cited the New York Times.

The outlet said Biden called both of them at the time to express his concern that they were establishing unrealistic expectations about the context of US support, jeopardizing the country into a military conflict.

Interviews with seven current US officials and other unnamed sources were used to compile the report.

Biden did not scold them after their justifications were aired, those who were present during the call revealed. Even if concerns about the situation in Ukraine might take a turn for the worst, the president adopted the goal of a strategic victory over Russia as policy.

The two US officials convinced the Ukrainians they could win, and the US would give all the backing to achieve that, as reflected by the pro-Ukrainian stance.

Biden's Comments on Putin, Russia

President Joe Biden previously released remarks about Russia that were later retracted by his staff.

He said in late March during a speech in Poland that Russian President Vladimir Putin should not keep office after commencing the Ukraine campaign.

The White House dismissed the remark as an emotional outburst rather than proof that the US was trying to dismantle Russia's government.

US officials are growing greatly worried about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's tough stance, which saw him refuse to negotiate a settlement deal with Russia and proclaim military victory as the only option, noted Mass News.

People in Washington think it may be unsustainable, even as its European allies endorse talks, the Biden administration has refused to put force on Kyiv to make compromises.

Regarding Ukraine's failure to implement the conditions of the Minsk agreements, first signed in 2014, and Moscow's ultimate acknowledgment of the Donbas republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, Russia ordered an offensive on the neighboring state in late February.

The agreement negotiated by Germany and France aimed to confer the secessionist regions special status inside the Ukrainian state.

Since then, the Kremlin has insisted that Ukraine affirm itself as a neutral country that would never enter the US-led NATO military alliance. Kyiv maintains that the Russian offensive was unprovoked and dismisses that it planned to retake the two republics by force.

President Joe Biden told his subordinates to lessen their pro-Ukrainian stance, which later got forgotten as the US policy reflected beating Russia as the goal.
