Basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is one of the most accomplished athletes in history. However, many see him as a shy and moody person throughout his career inside and outside the hardcourt. But in a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the inventor of the Sky Hook showed that he was also a fun person.

In one of the segments of the episode of Jimmy Fallon's show, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar settled some of the biggest debates of all time on fun stuff, wherein he showcased his remarkable sense of humor.

One funny wisecrack from Kareem came when he said he preferred roller coasters over water slides because he sees the latter as "outdoor bidets."

He also favored Minions more than Toy Story because they "copied" his "signature goggles."

Kareem Settles Basketball Debates

Jimmy Fallon also asked Kareem, "Slam Dunk or Sky Hook?"

He answered: "Slam dunk if I want to intimidate. Sky Hook if I want to show people they can't stop me if they tried."

But what made the audience and Jimmy Fallon laugh out loud was when the 75-year-old disclosed "The Best Hotdog Topping."
"The tears of the 1985 Celtics when they lost to the Lakers in the finals," Kareem said.

Thirty-seven years ago, the Los Angeles Lakers, led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson, became the only visiting team to win an NBA championship in the Boston Garden by beating Larry Bird and the Celtics in Game 6, who beat them in the prior season.

And perhaps in an attempt to heat up to the segment, Fallon asked Abdul-Jabbar: "Who is the Greatest of All Time (GOAT): Jordan, LeBron, or you?"

"The GOAT Committee meets in secret. Ok. So, that is something we're not gonna know about. But if LeBron breaks my record in this next year, coming up, that would be one last record that I won't have to worry about ever again," the basketball legend initially known as Lou Alcindor quipped.

Why Kareem is Among The Best NBA Players Ever

In GOAT conversations, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's name is never left out, given his accomplishments and impact inside and outside the basketball court.

Just like his Slam Dunk and Sky Hook, Kareem was unstoppable in achieving remarkable feats. He broke many records in the NBA, won the Most Valuable Player award six times, and was a six-time NBA champion. Per NBA, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record of 38,387 career points still stands as the most points in NBA history as of present writing.

Moreover, Kareem is also a gifted writer, until now he writes various topics in respected publications in the United States and on various online platforms. He also wrote several fiction and non-fiction books that became best-sellers.

In 2009, Kareem established the Skyhook Foundation to improve young peoples lives through sports, science, and technology, as per a CNN report.

"My years as a basketball player defined me, but my years as a writer refined me. Sports gave me a public voice and I have been using it since my years at UCLA to speak up and out about social injustice. That voice was amplified when I was chosen as U.S. Global Cultural Ambassador and when I received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama," he stated on his Substack page.
