President Joe Biden is challenged by a new opinion poll that indicated his rating is not getting better with more controversies as of late.
Since the fall of Kabul, an opinion poll revealed a downward trend has gotten established, with people protesting in the streets. As the disapproval grows, the democrats are getting more alarmed than ever, with midterm elections around the corner.
Biden Approval Ratings Are Going Downhill
In an Ipsos/Reuters opinion poll taken last Wednesday, June 22, Biden's approval ratings dropped for the fourth week, reported Express UK.
This week the numbers dropped to an alarming 36%, exceeding last May.
The administration has been struggling to keep up with high inflation in the last 40 years and allegedly blames Russia for the global energy crisis with the supply chains worldwide affected by the pandemic.
The new opinion poll gathered responses from 1,002 adults, with 435 Democrats and 379 Republicans, revealing that 58% weren't keen on his performance. On the opposite side of the coin is 36% who say governance is acceptable, cited Reuters.
Tracking the spiraling dip with the public since March 2021, at the time, it was a good number of 59%, and then his administration was doing well, just soured in time.
To date, the lowest approval rating belongs to ex-president Donald Trump with 33% in December 2017, except the former president turned it around. Still, President Joe Biden is not getting any better with too many crises.
It was the failed Afghanistan pullout in August, and after that, it dove down to below 50% and diving; it made him seem weak, and the subsequent crisis followed abroad.
Men have high disapproval of the president at 58% because they don't like Biden, and another 57% of women are not for him.
Democrats Alarmed by Poll Results
Democrats will not give the president a poor rating which is sure, with 73% approving of the questionable performance. The number has not changed from the 15th of June. In August 2021, his support gave 85% in favor of his performance.
Republicans responded by giving a 91% negative acceptance of the president, and only a meager 7% gave the thumbs up.
Of late, President Biden will crash more as the polls predict backlash for female democrats and American Women; after the Roe v. Wade verdict was reversed by the Supreme Court last Friday, June 24. The right to abort will end with half of US states being able to ban abortion, affecting countless Americans.
Since 1994, it has made the nation one of only four to restrict access to reproductive care, and 58 percent of all US women of reproductive age now reside in anti-abortion states, noted News 7 Trends.
This decision has infuriated people all over the country, with 85% of Americans believing that abortion must be permitted in all or most situations.
Other poll numbers are only 18% think everything is fine; also, the economy is crucial for 34% of respondents ask what they thought is crucial, crime is 10%, and immigration is 6% as the top concerns. As the new opinion poll suggests, President Joe Biden is in dire straits, and it seems unlikely the nose dive in approval rating will stop.
