A journalist claims that Prince Harry's memoir may contain "razor cutting" sections criticizing the royals.
The Duke of Sussex's long-awaited book is said to be finished, with a release date set for the lucrative Christmas market. However, facts about the work's contents, co-authored by journalist and novelist J.R. Mohinger has yet to appear.
Guy Martin, a Forbes senior contributor, cautioned that Mohinger's participation in Prince Harry's literary endeavor meant portions of the book critical of the royals will be razor sharp.
Last summer, Prince Harry revealed plans for the intimate and personal memoir, saying he would write it not as the prince he was born as, but as the man he has become. The book contract is said to have garnered him $20 million, with the earnings going to charity. However, the Prince's main concern is the impact of the memoir's eventual publishing.
While the Duke is unlikely to criticize Queen Elizabeth II, The Telegraph said that Prince Harry is certain to follow his countless excoriating television and podcast interview descriptions of his childhood with a similarly candid version in the paper.
Prince Harry may also use the book to address earlier concerns, such as alleged racism in the royal family, his relationship with Prince William, and a bullying complaint lodged against his wife Meghan Markle, according to Express.
Prince Harry Doesn't Want To Share Memoir Details to Prince Charles
Meanwhile, Prince Charles is said to have iced out Prince Harry when he refused to discuss his impending biography with him. Earlier this year, the Prince of Wales approached Prince Harry about his new book at a meeting before the Invictus Games, but he was obliged to break the discussion shortly after the latter refused to tell him about it.
According to royal analyst Neil Sean, the encounter at Windsor took place shortly before the Invictus Games in Holland. Prince Charles allegedly convened the meeting to question Prince Harry about the contents of his memoir, which is believed to include shocking information about the royal family.
In July of last year, Prince Harry initially revealed his memoir. The Duke also stated that he would write the biography as the man he has become, rather than the prince he was born as and that it would be true and fully truthful.
The memoir's draft has been completed. While the publication date has been pushed back once, the book is still expected to be released before the end of the year, as per Yahoo News.
