According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may miss seeing the Queen during their upcoming visit to the United Kingdom due to security concerns. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will return to the United Kingdom on September 5th after a series of engagements around the country.

This will feature a worldwide youth event in Manchester's Bridgewater Hall, as well as an award presentation in London for chronically sick children and young people. However, a brief detour at Balmoral Castle to see Her Majesty suddenly appears doubtful.

Why Prince Harry, Meghan Markle May Miss Visiting Queen Elizabeth II?

The Sussexes' journey is only a few days away, so there is little time to make the appropriate security precautions, according to the Telegraph. Though the pair had royal security when attending formal engagements for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in June, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are said to have spent the remainder of their time at Frogmore Cottage because they did not have it for other activities.

The Metropolitan Police offer such protection, which is chosen on a case-by-case basis by a panel at the Home Office. This year, a court battle erupted between Harry and the government department when it refused to allow him to pay the police for his protection while visiting the UK.

In a court review application, he and his counsel contended that his US-based entourage lacks the authority in Britain to adequately protect him. They further claimed that hiring police officers for the duration of his excursions would be free of charge to the taxpayer.

The Queen has been recuperating at Balmoral after experiencing severe mobility concerns, and she is anticipated to swear in the next Prime Minister there rather than at Buckingham Palace next month, breaking with custom.

She has been seen in public on July 21, when she landed at Aberdeen airport for her annual summer vacation at the residence in Aberdeenshire, where she usually spends between July and October, as per Mirror.

According to the source, Her Majesty has been thrilled to have family guests at her Scottish estate in the last two weeks, including several of her great-grandchildren.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived last week, accompanied by their children Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex, accompanied by their children Lady Louise and Viscount James. It is also believed that the Prince of Wales pays daily visits to the Queen.

According to the source, Prince Andrew was also in Balmoral, eager to meet with the Queen about the possibility of carving out a new professional role within the Royal Family. Another insider noted that the Queen's mobility had changed in the last two weeks, implying that she was resting a lot more.

The 96-year-old will almost certainly admit that she will no longer be able to go to London to pick a new Prime Minister. It was believed that the Queen will proceed to Windsor Castle or Buckingham Palace to exercise her 'personal prerogative' - inviting a new leader to establish a government.

However, her current health issues may make it improbable, according to a reliable source. The judgment will be made public this week. The nine-mile trek to Braemar for next weekend's games, on the other hand, may still be feasible, Daily Mail reported.

Prince William, Prince Harry Won't Commemorate Princess Diana Together

Meanwhile, the announcement that Prince William and Prince Harry would not publish a joint statement to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana's death on Wednesday exemplifies their strained relationship.

The anniversary will be celebrated privately and individually by Prince William and Prince Harry, who were once so close that they could complete each other's sentences and planned a lifetime, combined philanthropic foundation, according to The Daily Beast.

The brothers did participate extensively in the 20th anniversary of her death, giving interviews to TV documentaries and commissioning the statue of her which now stands in Kensington Gardens.

However, by the time the statue was unveiled, the brothers' relationship had deteriorated to the point that the awkward photo call they undertook for its unveiling came to symbolize all that had gone wrong with the once close fraternal bond.

Prince William said at the time, speaking for both of them, that they would not engage in public commemoration of their mother again.

It could therefore be argued that if both brothers adhere to that informal pledge, and do not make any statement, they will be keeping their word. However, the rise of social media in general in the past five years, and the rise of the royal use of it in particular, means that radio silence on social networks, which will likely be flooded with Princess Diana content, will be noticeable and odd.
