Meghan Markle was alluding to her relationship with her estranged father, Thomas Markle, to whom she has not talked since the royal wedding in 2018. When Thomas confirmed he would not be attending the wedding, Prince Charles accompanied Meghan Markle down the aisle at the last minute.

However, Prince Harry mentioned how his connection with his father had been strained following his father's departure. During a televised interview with Oprah Winfrey last year, he claimed that Prince Charles had stopped returning his calls.

Meghan Markle just launched her new Spotify podcast, Archetypes, and stated that the family's relocation to the United States was crucial to guarantee their financial freedom. She went on to justify the decision, claiming that a handful of princes, princesses, and dukes already have the same layout they want, although she did not name these royals. She said, "I'm not recreating the wheel," according to Metro.

Furthermore, Meghan Markle has recognized losing her father amid a public feud, but she has stated that this does not have to be the case for Prince Harry and Prince Charles. Meghan Markle's remarks came after Prince Harry dodged a question about missing Prince Charles and Prince William during an interview at the Invictus Games in April 2022.

Prince Harry's memoir, which is slated to be released by Penguin Random House by the end of 2022, would most certainly have important ramifications for his relationship with Prince Charles and other royal family members. The Duke of Sussex did make a low-key jab of his own, implying that the royals, unlike himself and Meghan Markle, may have struggled with working from home together.

Prince Charles, for his part, has given a series of olive branches to his son in the media, including when he praised Prince Harry's efforts to combat climate change in January, Newsweek via MSN reported. Meghan Markle's interview occurs a few days before she and Prince Harry are anticipated to fly back to the UK to visit a number of charities.

The Sussexes will go to Manchester for the 'One Young World' meeting at the start of September. They will then attend the WellChild Awards on September 8, which honors the extraordinary accomplishments of seriously ill children.
