Dmitry Peskov, a Kremlin spokesman, scathed the US and EU for punitive measures that caused global instability for energy and food. He said the center of this global storm would affect many countries due to these unwise actions.
Western Nations Resort To Dangerous Measures
In an interview with TASS last Monday, Peskov stated that a global storm was starting. He maintains that there are objective interpretations for that in many ways, but this initial storm comes from trying to hobble Russia.
In addition, the policymakers in the US, Europe, the EU, and individual European nations are making choices and taking actions that are totally nonsensical and quite often ludicrous, reported RT.
These sanctions were placed by the Biden administration and the European Union with help from non-EU states that supported it after Russia's special military operation.
Boomeranging against the West, resulting in an energy crisis and high prices due to inflation inflicting self-harm
Peskov says that the economy has survived compared to western nations having a rough time. It would not be easy had it not been for preparations by Moscow if sanctions fell hard.
Trade and economic connections in Russia are beginning to focus more heavily on the East as a consequence of punitive measures being imposed by the US and EU, noted Fars News.
During the Eastern Economic Forum launch in Vladivostok, the Kremlin spokesman insisted it was completely unfair to say that we had turned to the East. Part of their thrust is the Asia Pacific region, where trade and energy will be part of the Russian strategy.
Deal With the West Soon
Dmitry Peskov referenced the crisis between Russia and the West will be settled at the negotiating table, per Good Word News.
Except he said that Moscow would not be undermined by the West, which is expected, losing face to Russia is the last thing Washington or Brussels wants.
The Russian official warned the Biden administration and its allies that they would receive justice for their actions, as mentioned on Rossiya 1 TV.
Furthermore, the chance of getting to the negotiation table will not happen for some time. If talks were to happen, Moscow wouldn't hesitate to defend its interests, Peskov added.
Russia has experience dealing with the West and how it conducts business, so they won't let their interests be overlooked. Russia cannot forget that Germany has assisted Ukraine with weapons deliveries that have been used against its forces. It did not sit well that Ukraine Nazis were displaying their colors and symbols, even torch-lit processions, trying to call it less horrendous.
Suppose it was not for the West that caused the EU energy crunch knowingly, with terrible choices. Even equipment used by Gazprom has been penalized, which made repair harder than usual. It is inconceivable that Moscow and Gazprom would harm their reputation as dependable natural gas suppliers after fulfilling contracts.
Kremlin spokesman Peskov has called the US and EU for their punitive measures that caused the rise of a perfect global storm, which could have been avoided.
