'Bethenny' Canceled: Former 'Real Houswife' Bethenny Frankel's Talk Show Axed After One Season: 'I Am Thankful For The Experience'

Bethenny Frankel's talk show will not be renewed for a second season.

"Bethenny" couldn't bring in the ratings even with syndicated talk show Ellen DeGeneres as the executive producer. According to Deadline, the show brought in about 1 million viewers.

"We are incredibly proud of the creativity, passion and professionalism Bethenny and her staff brought to daytime each and every day and look forward to finishing out the season with more great original episodes," Telepictures said in a statement. "While we are disappointed not to be able to bring the series back for a second season, we remain convinced that she has a unique voice and that she will continue to be successful in the future."

Frankel also released a statement regarding the end of her talk show.

"I had a blast doing this show with Telepictures," Frankel said. "My entire staff worked so hard and made everyday so much fun. I am thankful for the experience and for all my fans who tuned in every day."

However, a source close to the production told HollywoodLife.com Frankel was emotional when telling her employees the show was officially canceled.

"She was very emotional, and sounded teary," the insider told Hollywood Life. "She said that she thinks the show was canceled because it wasn't edgy enough. She wasn't able to say 'vagina' or 'orgasm' on TV. So she joked that going forward, she wants to be crazy. ... She is very concerned about her staffers' jobs, but was very upbeat and reassuring while telling the staff the show is canceled."

Hollywood Life reports the show will tape its final episodes within the next two months, and Frankel wants her staff to enjoy what's left of the show.

"[Bethenny] laughed that now she can do whatever she wants," the source added. "She joked that the staff should take molly in the morning and then do the show."
