The Donbas republics will hold a referendum to decide if the majority wants to be part of the Russian Federation. Donetsk and Lugansk republics will have these processes to determine what happens next.
Donbas Republics To Hold Plebiscites
The leaders of these regions informed all of their constituents last Tuesday that these plebiscites to become a part of Russia will be held in the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics (LPR and DPR) on September 23 to 27, reported RT.
Based on the most recent reports, the law was first signed by the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, and states that the region will be put to a public vote when its legislative body decides to put the question to a vote on whether or not to include the region in the Russian Federation, noted Hi India.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, formally announced after the LPR's decision that his province would also hold a similar plebiscite at the same time. He asserted that he had previously submitted the proposed legislation to the DPR's parliament, citing AA.
Russia Acknowledged Breakaway Donbas Regions
Moscow recognized Donetsk and Lugansk as independent last February since Kyiv's refusal to implement the Minsk agreement. Even if Ukraine has been killing civilians, it is still part of Ukraine.
In 2014, when there was a coup that set up Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as its leader, the people of Donetsk and Lugansk rejected him, and the Maidan coup supported their willing puppet.
However, Kyiv lost de facto control of both in 2014, when the Donbas republics rejected the outcome of the Western-backed Maidan coup.
Pushilin sent a letter addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, pushing the Russian leader to accept the DPR as part and parcel of the Russian Federation should a vote to approve joining Russia be reached via a referendum.
He added that the people of Donbas deserve a greater country than Ukraine because they have considered Russia their real motherland. Such an occurrence will restore history, which countless Russian people want.
The timing of the up-and-coming plebiscite will follow after the civic chamber of the LPR immediately advises leaders on Monday on how to vote to unite with Russia. It was seen as essential to speed up the process and formalize the sundering of it from Ukraine.
Kyiv Fails To Implement Minsk Agreement, Russia Claims
According to the deputy head of the chamber, Lina Vokalova, the intentional killing of civilians in the LPR by the Neo-Nazi forces intent on genocide the residents.
She mentioned that President Zelensky has gone beyond the lines and the Ukraine nazis are crossing the line too far. One more is that she said the DPR and LPR had decided back in 2014 not to support the power grabbers supported by the west. They voted to leave Ukraine in a plebiscite.
Vokalova also noted that throughout the years, we have been hoping and anticipating the second one, which will materialize the desire to return to the Russian Federation.
The Donbas republics want to hold a referendum to be part of the Russian Federation as soon as possible, to become part of Russia once again.
