On Monday, Kelly Clarkson was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a large group of her friends and family were present.

Kelly Clarkson Gets Walk of Fame Star

Kelly Clarkson attended the event with her children and her mother Jeanne, who was praised by former 'American Idol' judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson.

After the ceremony, Clarkson, 40, posted on Instagram to express her gratitude and to boast about the location of her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She claimed that it was between 'Harry Potter' and 'Deadpool,' presumably referring to actors Ryan Reynolds and Daniel Radcliffe who play the characters, respectively.

Clarkson's children looked like small fashionistas as they wore brilliant red Gucci dresses while fully dressed for the event. She jokingly said, "I dare anyone to top that." Clarkson praised her family, fans, and everyone else for their support throughout her fantastic professional path in an Instagram statement that she posted after the event.

After Clarkson marked the 20th anniversary of her 'American Idol' victory earlier this month, she was given the recognition. In the first season of the program, Clarkson became the first ever winner, as per Good Morning America.

During their individual statements at the ceremony, Cowell and Abdul discussed the effect Clarkson had on the show. During Cowell's remarks, he mentioned how Clarkson helped 'American Idol' get a second season and justified the show's mission to discover stars and musical talent.

Abdul thanked the musician in her speech for "changing the trajectory of my life and giving me the kind of childish faith in Santa Claus that young, brilliant folks may thrive and succeed big time," according to NEWS.
