Russian State Duma Chief Says Negotiations with Kyiv Is Over; Moscow To Get Serious in Resolving the Conflict

The State Duma foreign affairs chief called Kyiv a violator and refused to seek a peaceful settlement with Moscow. He added Ukraine has acted in bad faith consistently, which led to this dangerous phase of the conflict.

No More Talks with Ukraine, Russia Says

Senior lawmaker and leader of the Russian Liberal-Democratic Party Leonid Slutsky proclaimed on Wednesday that dialogue with Ukraine would not continue.

The Donbas republics and other regions favor Russia's protection and reject the Ukrainian government, reported RT.

He continues, saying they have ruined all agreements and deals; diplomacy is past the point of no return. Donetsk and Lugansk Republics in the Donbas are expected to hold referendums, and the Kremlin has declared that it will respect the results, whether combined or separate.

Included in the referendum are the DPR and LPR, the Ukrainian Kherson and Zaporozhye region that will start the votes on Friday, noted AA.

Slutsky, the head of the foreign affairs committee in the lower house of the Russian parliament, has conjectured that all votes favor Russian unification. All negotiations with Ukraine are halted once the decision is made final.

The state Duma chief told the TASS news agency that talks had been ruled out of the question for some time. The West and the Kyiv junta it back have stated that they are not prepared to engage in deliberations, mentioned CSM Times.

Ukrainian and Western leaders have spewed vitriol, from Washington to Brussels in a hysterical fit. They deny the Donbas regions self-determination to support a shrilling president Zelensky ranting over it indicated Moscow.

Ukraine said it would capture the reclaimed territories that it has lost from Russia. A remark from Andrey Yermak made a bold statement they militarily crush Russia, and force is the only way.

Last Wednesday, the West was surprised that Russian President Vladimir Putin had decided on the partial mobilization of reserves. The reason is to protect the LPR and DPR from a genocidal attack directed by the Ukrainian leader.

Russia Stops Major Offensive

The Russian Defense PM said that Ukrainian forces had been thwarted in the south of part of the country, per the Daily Telegraph.

Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu says in his statement the Ukrainians have failed despite what the media claims. Losses suffered by adversary forces that were recently severely battered by Russian troops. He continued by saying that all attempts made by the Ukrainian forces to reach Nikolaev and Krivoy Rog were repulsed.

Furthermore, the Russian official informed that Ukraine had suffered from their offensive. In the last three weeks, about 7,000 men were lost, and 970 units of hardware were in the battle. In the most recent hostilities, 208 tanks, 245 APCs, 186 armored vehicles, and 15 planes were lost.

Shoigu continued by saying that Moscow had relocated troops from the immediate area of the northeastern Ukrainian towns of Izium and Balakleya "to help bolster the striking capabilities of the Russian military in the Donbass."

The following day, Shoigu amended the number of deaths for Russia in Ukraine, placing it at 5,937. He determined the death toll on the Ukrainian side to be 61,207, which is ten times more.

State Duma chief Slutsky remarked that Kyiv would not be talked to by Moscow if the plebiscite in the DPR and LPR. The point of no return is coming for Ukraine.
