New allegations of abuse have been made as more information regarding the purported mid-flight altercation between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in 2016 comes to light.
In response to Pitt's lawsuit against her over the sale of her interest in the Château Miraval Winery, a French estate and vineyard the couple held together, Jolie has filed a countersuit.
Brad Pitt is accused of choking one of their children by Angelina Jolie.
To put Pitt's relationship with Quimicum, the estate's primary owner, in jeopardy, the Maleficent actress sold her portion of their winery to a Russian oligarch named Yuri Shefler, according to Brad Pitt and his legal counsel.
Angelina Jolie and her attorneys have included additional charges against Brad Pitt in the latest court documents. During the argument on the private flight, Brad Pitt choked one of the children, punched another in the face, and grabbed Angelina Jolie by the head and shook her.
Brad Pitt was reportedly furious with Angelina Jolie for acting too deferential to their children, which allegedly led to the altercation. According to reports, the argument began in the restroom of the aircraft before spreading to the interior. Brad Pitt allegedly grabbed Jolie by the head and began shaking her, then he allegedly grabbed her shoulders and continued shaking her before throwing her against the bathroom wall.
Angeline Jolie was forced to leave the lavatory when Brad Pitt repeatedly pounded the plane's ceiling, according to the countersuit. The docs then state that after one of the kids defended Jolie, Pitt attempted to physically assault him. The legal briefs claim that when one of the kids supported Jolie verbally, Pitt lunged at his kid and Jolie pulled him from behind to stop him.
Before being provided to the FBI, pictures of Jolie's claimed wounds were released by Page Six, showing what seemed to be bruising on her hand and knee. According to NBC News, a Jane Doe plaintiff sued the Federal Bureau of Investigation under the Freedom of Information Act to obtain access to the investigation's records.
Brad Pitt Denies Allegations
According to the lawsuit, the complainant was traveling on a private plane with her then-husband and their children, who were all minors at the time. The complainant and the children suffered permanent physical and mental damage as a result of the assault, which claims that the husband supposedly physically and verbally assaulted the complainant and the children at some point.
The petition claims that during the altercation, he poured beer on Jolie; at another, he splashed beer and red wine on the children. A few of the kids begged Pitt to stop. All of them were terrified, there were many sobs.
Jolie's accusations were vehemently refuted by a Pitt spokesman who was not authorized to speak in public and labeled it another rehash that only damages the family. Jolie allegedly told FBI agents that Pitt yelled at her, grabbed her by her head, shook her, pushed her into the restroom wall, and repeatedly struck the plane's ceiling, according to other records.
Records obtained by Rolling Stone and other media sources indicate that the outburst took place 90 minutes into the journey on September 14, 2016, from France to Los Angeles. The Lara Croft star added that Pitt poured beer on Jolie and the blanket she was under in addition to consuming many alcoholic beverages throughout the flight.
She said that when the plane touched down, red wine spills had caused $25,000 worth of damage. After an investigation into the event, due to many considerations, no charges were brought. In 2016, Pitt refuted claims that he was aggressive toward one of his children on the private flight.
A source close to Pitt appeared to imply that Jolie's group was responsible for the FBI document leak in a separate statement, claiming that it serves no purpose other than to inflict agony, Independent reported.
